All of our physicians are subspecialty-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. This is a subspecialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology requiring 3 additional years of training (following a 4-year ob/gyn residency) and passing oral and written examinations to gain this recognition. In addition to being the experts in all aspects of infertility, we are also experts in other hormonal problems of women, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, recurrent miscarriage, premature ovarian failure, uterine fibroids, irregular or absent menstrual periods, and abnormalities of the female genital tract from birth (termed congenital anomalies). We have the training to deal with these issues, both medically and surgically, as consultants for the region's obstetrician/gynecologists, family physicians, medical endocrinologists and internists. We are the regional referral center for all of these issues and you do not need a referral from your physician to see us if you have one of these conditions.
